Humor in photography. Humor triggers laughter and making someone laugh is not that easy to most. Capturing humor in a studio setting is a complex job that requires intelligence patience care delicacy and respect. People are always doing funny things often where you least expect them. Whether you re a meticulous planner or a spontaneous adventurer you can insert humor into everyday moments no matter where you are. Humor is actually one of the more challenging photographic subjects. One is where the photographer makes a shot funny. And if that isn t hard enough capturing humor in uncontrolled situations is an even more massive challenge but why.

For those who pursue humor photography from the creation end however it can be a distinct and intrinsic self evident pleasure. When we look for humorous photography examples we find two types of pictures. And photographic humor is different than cracking a joke or relating a funny story. Funny photography is a beautiful combination of candid moments and pre planned concepts. There aren t really any compositional rules or camera settings or filters you can use in your pursuit of that laugh out loud image.
